When he is not filming How To Videos you might find Mike Green behind the wheel of his ’66 GTO drag car. He does most of the work on the car himself with the help of friends and family. These passes were filmed at the 2011 Pontiac Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio. The air was hot and humid when this was filmed so times were off. As of August 2011 best pass is 10.531 @ 126.03 mph.
I thought you might like a look at this very rare 77 Pontiac Lemans Can Am. Originally, Pontiac had planned to build nearly 5000 of these cars, but they ran into some problems with the mold that was used to make the ducktail spoilers. Instead of fixing the issue, they decided to call a halt to production. In the end, only 1377 Can Am’s were built. They were packing a 6.6L 400 cu in V8, a Heavy Duty TH400 trans, and the RTS Rally Suspension Package. The horsepower wasn’t amazing due to the low compression used at this point, but for the late 70′s it was about as good as you could get. They are exceedingly rare and highly collectible. So many of these graveyards exist all over the world. This one from right here in Melbourne,Australia. Where in Melbourne this place is i don’t know. These are all original rhd’s too.All Aussie assembled and sold new here. There should be a law against this. These old analogue pics were given to my brother about 10 years ago now by an old workmate of his. The pics were already quite old back then,so much so that the guy couldn’t remember where this place was. These pics are definately from the 80s and there is a red kodak stamp on the back of each photo with ‘dec 85′ next to it. I’m convinced that’s the date they were developed.
