1970 Pontiac GTO double blower – Blown Pro Street
This is a 70 Pontiac GTO w/ a 474ci Pontiac engine with a 8-71 blower on top of a 6-71 blower with a SuperChiller intercooler under them. The paint color is PPG Orange Glow over a silver base and the interior is Allante Buckskin. This video was taken at the 2006 Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk Ohio.

this kind of features is only for show-pourposes, itsn`t for serious drag or race, because it`s more expensive, more fragile, more complex, less visual, high gravity center of the engine (relative to it`s supports to the car), etc etc..
but…. hehehe.. it`s nice to watch it….

@chrispymuffin The car was sold over a year and a half ago. It went to Va, then sold again to a guy in Oregon, then sold to a guy in Vegas, and now belongs to a guy in Vancouver Canada. At least that is the last I know of it.

@Pontiac462 lmao im way late ha but its nice…..i have a friend whos selling a 72 gto judge with a custom built 502 tri barrel carberator….its bad-ass he has a it set up so he can switch of two carbs. and drive with one to conserve gas then switch it for some muscle but once he didnt slow down before turning the switch and there was so much torque that it blew the back windshield out of it lol

Ok, i’m 15, I know quite a bit about cars, my dad was a NASCAR engineer for 9 years and built other racecars for another 6, so i’ve been around them all my life, i’ve always wondered when you have a single or double blower, why it sounds like you pumping the throttle. Even in Idle, is it because the idle is so low, just to keep it idleing?

iv always wondered.. what happens if you were driving a car like this and it started raining. would water getting in the blower fuck the motor up? i love muscle cars and stuff but i am pretty retarded when it comes to motors
